Cienin Kościelny
Multi-family building in Cienin Kościelny — narrow access
A three-storey building with eleven flats in Cienin Kościelny, in the municipality of Słupca, erected in autumn. A small village, a narrow approach road and a site bounded directly by neighbouring houses.
Precast has a reputation as a technology for large urban schemes — because it needs access for low-loader rigs and room for a crane. In a small village both conditions can be harder to meet than the building work itself.

Scope of work
That is a matter of planning, though, not a disqualifying obstacle. The delivery sequence is set so that no rig has to turn around or wait to be unloaded; a unit comes off the trailer straight to its final position, with no stage of storage on site. On a tight plot that is not an optimisation but a necessary condition — there is nowhere to store anything.
This has to be said plainly: such conditions raise the demands on the programme, they do not lower them. Every delivery must hit its erection window, because a late rig has nowhere to wait and an early one blocks access for the next. Responsibility for that coordination lies with the supplier, not the site — which is why we plan transport together with the erection sequence rather than after it.
In return, a site in the middle of a village looks different from a traditional one: no stacks of blocks, no mixer, no weeks of small deliveries coming and going. There are a dozen or so rig arrivals and a crane.
Scope of work: lightweight concrete external and internal loadbearing walls, floor slabs, stair flights, landings, balcony slabs, transport and erection.
