Housing complex in Chrzanów — precast walls without erection
A complex of residential buildings in Chrzanów, built in phases. Our part was limited to one component of the structure and to supply — without erection.
Precast is associated with a package: shop design, production, transport and erection from a single supplier. That is how most of our projects look, and it is the simplest arrangement, because responsibility for the unit and for placing it then sits on the same side.

Scope of work
It does not always make sense, though. A main contractor with his own crane, an experienced crew and a programme in which erecting the structure is one of many parallel fronts has no need to buy a service he performs better himself. Chrzanów was exactly that case: we supplied the walls, the site did the rest.
It is worth knowing what passes to the buyer in that arrangement. The delivery sequence has to match his crane and his working front, not ours. The spacing of props follows from the erection drawing for the specific floor — not from experience on another site, and not from a rule of thumb like "every two metres". Lifting points are read off the unit drawing, and hooks are fixed at lattice-girder nodes, not by eye.
All of this is workable and is done every day. It does require, however, that somebody on the contractor's side reads the erection documentation as carefully as our own crew would. With supply and no erection, that documentation is part of the product, not an addition to it.
