Two multi-family buildings in Dąbie — the complete structure
Two four-storey buildings on ulica Ogrodowa in Dąbie — 62 flats in total, ranging from 38 to 60 m². Designated A and B and erected one after the other a month apart: the same design, the same structure, the same crew.
In traditional construction the second building of a pair is only marginally cheaper than the first. A bricklayer does not lay a block faster because he laid the same one a month earlier; formwork has to be struck and reassembled, reinforcement tied again, and concrete cures for exactly as many days as before. The saving comes solely from the crew's familiarity and from the site manager already knowing the design.

Scope of work
In precast the arithmetic is different, because the most expensive stage happens once. Shop drawings, the breakdown into units, joint details and lifting-anchor positions were produced for building A — and were ready for building B. Casting beds were reset once per element type, not twice.
That is why the second building not only costs less but, above all, reaches the site sooner: it is not waiting for design work that has already been done. The month between buildings A and B was not a pause for preparation — it was the erection time of the first one.
This mechanism is what makes precast worthwhile in social housing. A client putting up the same building type in one municipality after another buys the design once and uses it many times over. The more repetitions, the smaller the share of preparation costs in the price of a single building.
Scope of work: lightweight concrete external and internal loadbearing walls, floor slabs, stair flights, landings, balcony slabs, transport and erection.
